Arrested: Ethan D. Turnbull, 22, 1009 Gilchrist St., Brilliant, fugitive from justice, Wednesday.

Arrested: Levi Thomas, 37, 107 Randall Ave., Follansbee, domestic assault, Wednesday.

Overstayed: A woman refused to leave a business in the 2000 block of Sunset Boulevard, Wednesday. Employees told police she’d been there for six hours and when they finally asked her to leave, she told them no and “started yelling and screaming at them.” They said she finally left when she found out police were on their way.

Creepy: A Buena Vista resident said he got a security alert that someone was on his property, and watched a man walking around in his driveway, Wednesday. He said the man “opened the driver’s side door of (his girlfriend’s) car and was fumbling around inside before closing the door, knocking on the front door and leaving the area on foot.” He and his girlfriend recognized the man, and when police asked the woman to see if anything was missing she discovered a dozen roses on the front seat.

Time to go: A woman living at an Oregon Avenue residence told police her boyfriend was “highly intoxicated and going to leave in her vehicle,” Wednesday. The boyfriend told police the car was his but she wouldn’t let him leave. Police said he displayed no sign of impairment, and told them she’d been “threatening him all night and (he) wanted to pursue a domestic violence charge against her.” Police said he couldn’t provide proof of domestic violence, but police did advised him to think about evicting her from his home.

Unfortunate: A woman said her dentures were in a bag she left in a shopping cart downtown and when she returned they was missing, Wednesday.

Thieves beware: A Belleview Boulevard resident told police someone stole a used engine block from his garage, Wednesday. Police said he found it at a scrap yard. Employees told him they have the name of the individual who’d brought it in.

Fisticuffs: A Ridge Avenue resident said he was assaulted by another man inside his home, Wednesday. He said the two of them had argued and the other man him him in the face several times before fleeing on foot. Police said when the located the other man, he refused to talk to them but they said his hand was bleeding.

Charged: Stephanie McGee, 34, 960 Sherman Ave., Steubenville, bench warrant and petit theft, Wednesday. McGee allegedly left a Sunset Boulevard business with a bottle of lotion, $8 value, she hadn’t paid for, and after they located her police discovered she had an outstanding warrant.

Creepy: A Norh Seventh Street resident said she returned to her apartment after being away 24 hours and discovered a pink disposable lighter on her bed and a cell phone belonging to another family member missing, Wednesday. Police said there was no sign of forced entry.

Drugs: An overdose was reported in the 100 block of North Sixth Street, Wednesday. The individual fled before police arrived, but they located him in a nearby parking lot. Police said his pupils were “extremely pinpointed and he was profusely sweating,” but denied using illegal drugs. He was taken to the emergency room for further treatment “due to extremely high blood pressure.”

Booked: Paige E. Pompei, 28, 3152 Weir Ave., Weirton, petit theft, Wednesday. Employees at Wal-Mart allege Pompei bagged items she hadn’t scanned and put the bags on top of larger items at the bottom of her cart. Four non-food items valued valued at $95 were recovered, police said.

Fraud victim: A Pennsylvania Avenue resident told police he discovered he had a Verizon account he hadn’t authorized, Wednesday.

Cited: Carolyn Hunley, 56, 180 N. Fourth St., DUS and failure to signal.

Lost: A Toronto woman told police she lost her wallet, Tuesday. She said she’d last seen it in front of an area business. It contained her license, bank card and $50 cash, she said.

Strapped: A Polaris ATV slid off a trailer in the northbound lanes of state Route 7 near Mr. Fuel, Sunday. When police arrived, they said the ATV had been moved off the road near the Lincoln Avenue exit ramp. The owner said the strap holding the ATV in place on his trailer had broken.

Booked: Jennifer M. Fuller, 37, 137 El Villa Way, cruelty to animals, Wednesday; Jason L. Jones, 37, no fixed address, petit theft and violating a no contact order, Tuesday; Kory D. Smith, 37, Grandview Ave., Steubenville, warrant served at station for failure to appear, Tuesday; Jessica Moralee, 39, no address listed, warrant served at station for failure to appear, Tuesday; Emily Lawhorne, 22, Wellsburg, cruelty to animals, Sunday; Jerry Crossland, 28, 707 Market St., Steubenville, parole violation out of North Carolina, Sunday. Crossland turned himself in; Samuel E. Brown, 36, 1219 Tweed Ave., Steubenville, probation violation and possession of drug paraphernalia, Monday. Police reported they saw Brown walking in the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue and took him into custody. Brown allegedly had a metal socket containing chor boy in his possession.

Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to owners/occupants of properties at 404 Lauretta Drive, 1305 Oregon Ave. and 615 Grandview Ave., high grass/weeds; 731 Oakmont, mattress, TV and other litter in front yard, high grass/weeds; 1605 Ridge Ave., junk, tires and personal household items on porch; 1601 Ridge Ave., garbage bags piled on side porch, cardboard boxes on front porch; 158 Wildon Ave., bags of garbage, some ripped, piled next to trash can (rear); 1612 Ridge Ave., mattress leaning against side of house, scattered litter and garbage in side and back yard and a warning ticket issued for having a vehicle parked in front yard.

Rabbit: Jasmine Nicole Cooper, 28, of Cleveland, contempt of court and resisting arrest, Tuesday. Cooper was taken into custody after a hearing in magistrate court. A deputy had been summoned to the courtroom to standby and when the judge announced his findings, jumped out of her seat and ran out of the courtroom. The deputy chased her to the stairwell, where he took her into custody. As he and another deputy walked her down the stairs, they said she stopped and sat on the floor so they picked her up and walked her to the exit,

You wonder why: Deputies attempting a welfare check on two juveniles bullying other family members were “shut down” when the woman who’d asked deputies to speak to the pair about their disciplinary problems “abruptly” changed her mind, Monday. The two are bullying several other children and said she’s talked with school officials and counselors and had them evaluated by doctors “and it didn’t resolve the issue of (their) disciplinary problems. Deputies said when they asked one of children why he was bullying the others, his mother “ abruptly denied us permission to do so.”
